Our global client is looking for a Product Manager for a long-term/contract-to-hire position. In this role you will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Project Management across all global regions to deliver high quality, durable, innovative product offerings that solve key needs for our customers and ensure the company remains the preferred brand. This position is part of the Marketing organization and reports to the Director, Customer Marketing. Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end product management activities within the category, including developing a strategic vision for product offerings, effectively managing all aspects of product planning/road mapping, developing a business case, and managing the prioritization of new features and capabilities. You will review product performance against expectations and influence changes to products to improve business outcomes and optimize product performance. You will be responsible for researching, developing, and supporting the product portfolio, ensuring that it meets or exceed the needs of the marketplace.


  • Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap that identifies markets, distribution strategies, products, pricing, and product profitability analysis
  • Gather, manage, and prioritize customer requirements and user feedback and partner with other stakeholders to define and drive future product innovation and direction
  • Partner with key stakeholders to turn market problems, insights, and customer pain points into product solutions and a clearly defined product innovation roadmap
  • Lead the development of multi-year strategic product innovation roadmaps for key products and initiatives in the workspace product and technology space
  • Define and manage product features from ideation to development and make a determination of buy, build, or partner for most cost-effective delivery to market
  • Coordinate and manage all product launch activities in line with the larger vertical marketing plan, including the post-launch assessment phase
  • Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and approaches
  • Develop and manage core product positioning and communications to leadership, customers, and users
  • Guide the development and coordination of publications, promotions, and promotional material for markets and product lines
  • Define, gather, and publish metrics that assess product usage and health
  • Review product performance against expectations and facilitate or influence changes to improve adoption and customer success
  • Manage strategic projects, develop and maintain reporting, track budgets, conduct research, analyze data, and track progress against key departmental objectives
  • Develop new product-service offerings
  • Manage the product lifecycle by ensuring products remain competitive and sunset after a product’s useful life
  • Responsible for product management activities including product assessments, product demonstrations, product price estimations, and meeting coordination as appropriate to product initiatives
  • Conduct market research utilizing internal data and external resources to ensure products are meeting current and future needs within the segment
  • Maintain close relationships with customers and end-users via regular interactions, site visits, tradeshow attendance, and company-hosted customer feedback activities
  • Provide input to sales to enable better interactions with new and existing accounts
  • Proactively manage changes in product and market scope
  • Keep current on product and market trends


  • B.A./B.S. Business or Product Marketing preferred or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management or Customer Marketing roles with an emphasis on hard goods
  • Must be a strategic thought leader that can see the big picture, establish a vision for the segment and articulate a strong plan of execution
  • Demonstrated ability to create, set, and achieve strategic initiatives that specifically align with organizational goals in a fast-paced and nimble environment
  • Must possess a collaborative working style that thrives in a cross-functional team environment
  • Must have a passion for customer satisfaction and success
  • Strong Financial Acumen required
  • Must live/work within a commutable driving distance of the Eagan, MN facility
  • Must be willing to travel approximately 5-10% (some international)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Oracle and Salesforce experience preferred
