Digital Marketing Manager

This is a full-time individual contributor responsible for defining, pursuing, and managing digital marketing opportunities to drive growth for our client in the Minneapolis Metro. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recommends and develops digital marketing strategy by identifying customers and their current and future needs and monitoring the competition.
  • Drives content strategy in collaboration with the curriculum and instruction team and the marketing coordinator.
  • Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing.
  • Plans execute, and measures experiments and conversion tests.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize the user experience.
  • Identifies critical conversion points and drop-off points and optimizes user funnels.
  • Builds detailed project plans with timelines and deliverables to ensure flawless execution.
  • Coordinates with direct mail marketing to ensure paid media and direct mail channels are complimentary during each campaign.
  • Provides strategic input and oversight to email and organic social media marketing in collaboration with the Marketing Coordinator.
  • In collaboration with the marketing team, develops digital messaging that tells the brand story and compels the audience to take action.
  • Collaborates with Technology to drive forward strategic initiatives to improve SEO/SEM and overall website performance.

Paid Media

  • Plans and executes all web, SEO/SEM, paid media, video, and display advertising campaigns
  • Manages external digital agencies to include managing budget, lead goals, and performance; provides recommendations to the executive team on vendor selection and performance
  • Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identifies trends and insights and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights.
  • Optimizes digital user experience and uses data and analytics to evaluate customer experience across digital channels and customer touchpoints


  • Bachelor’s degree or six years of professional experience
  • 6 or more years of marketing, digital, social media, or paid media experience
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMRush, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail, performance analytics, and data
  • Sense of urgency and resiliency in a fast-growing environment
  • Collaborative and a strong team player
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
